Remember my catalog page turning (number 90 of my 100 things)? Well, this Fall, I’ve decided to turn over a new leaf as I turn the pages.
Instead of wasting time earmarking and not purchasing the useless stuff, I’m thinking about tearing out pages and sharing the little snippets of wit and wisdom that I happen upon whilst browsing. That way they’ll be useful. I see no harm in destroying the many unsolicited recyclables that make it to my mailbox, as I’ll have to lug them out to the curb on Wednesday evening anyhow… unless Hubby remembers to.
Here’s a few that crossed my path today. Yes, they are all by Anonymous – no petty theft here! No, they are not truly inspirational, but they may just hit the right chord for the right reader.
“Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and proclaiming: “Wow, what a ride!!!”
“We are not here for a long time. We are here for a good time!”
“Women who seek to be equal with men lack ambition.”
