I’ve got happiness on the brain. It’s just been gnawing at me lately. I haven’t got time to corral the million-and-a-half happy ideas that have convened in my head about the matter or to wax poetical at the moment, as I am in the midst of preparing for a lovely couples only happiness trip… to Aruba! Ah! Yes. Here is where you feel free to be jealous!
In any case, I have been perusing what others through the centuries have had to say about being happy, the ultimate desire of every heart and soul. These two thoughts come closest to where I stand on the issue at present. Please, excuse the disparity of their sources.
“A person will be just about as happy as they make up their minds to be.” – Abraham Lincoln
“There is no way to happiness. Happiness is the way.” - Wayne Dyer
Ciao, then, until I have had sufficient time to pickle my thoughts in Aruba’s Blue Martinis and to soak my mind in the deep calm waters of the Caribbean…
