My blogger friend Kristen over at MyStarbucks has invited me to do a little daydreaming this happy Monday evening. We’re blogging all about five gifts we would make to ourselves for Christmas if we had unlimited income. This should be way easy… I think about this all the time. After all, who doesn’t ask themselves what would I do if I hit the lottery!? So, I’d like to think of it in terms of hitting the jackpot!
If I were suddenly blessed with unlimited income (holy smokes, I just realized, UNLIMITED - that’s better than the lottery!) here’s what I would give myself for Christmas:
(1) I would buy Hubby’s business from him and FIRE him! I’d give all his customers their deposits back, inform them that they do NOT own my husband and tell them to go fly a kite (but not so politely). We’d take on the Nanny/housekeeper full time and Hubby and I would proceed to sleep in for a week or two and make as much mad love as humanly possible!
(2)I would pay off our astronomical mortgage (as well as all our other debts), hire an architect to redesign our home and then GC (general contract) the job myself while Hubby takes care of the kids!
(3) I would donate my entire wardrobe to the poor and head into the city (NYC) for a week or two to start out fresh. Ditto for the Hubby.
(4) I would give away the unsexy minivan and get myself at least two vehicles: a Mercedes E63 AMG WAGON for when I’m with the kids and a 2008 Lamborghini Gallardo Convertible for when I’m alone, oh and let’s not forget a nice little Jaguar for when it’s just too cold to take the convertible out for a spin. Now I’m getting greedy!
(5)I would take a very long vacation cruising and island hopping on my private yacht around the Caribbean.
But hey, this is only the five things I’d do for myself… we did say what we’d do for OURSELVES for Christmas, right? Of course I’d do a lot more for others. It is unlimited income, so the possibilities are endless! And I would certainly want to drag all my family and friends along for the whoooaa - free ride!
Thanks so much for gifting me with a Monday post, Kristen! And to think that I was going to post about selfishness today. Ha!
What would you do??? I’d love to hear back from…

I’m totally with you on 2 and 3. What I wouldn’t do for a new wardrobe and no mortgage!
I’d sit on a beach until I got bored.
Wow! Those are some awesome items. Can I take the Lamborghini for a spin? I’ll give you a ride on my jet.
will do mine soon!
Your #3 would definitely be up there!
I’ve got mine up! That was fun!
Listing my wants and desires makes me feel motivated TO MAKE SOME CASH!!!!
So many possibilites, shopping till i drop sounds like fun though
