Some things just don’t make sense. Take for example Monday Morning Messes.
All week long I deal with the children on my own (Yes, we fired the nanny. Don’t ask. Please, don’t ask). For five and three quarters days I juggle my two-and-a-half little munchkins, the house, the business bookeeping and everything else in between. Despite it all, I still manage to keep a tidy and clean home, with the exception of the girls’ room which is - thanks to one truly energy-draining pregnancy - often strewn with toys and such.
One would think, since the non-mess making odds are so much better on the weekends (two adults versus two-and-a-half children) our home would be sparkling by the time Monday rolls around. No dice, people. It’s an absolute MESS!!!! and always is come Mondays. Even through my pre-coffee morning haze I can see that and whine just alittle at the thought of tackling it.
Like I said. Some things just don’t make sense. I guess I know what I’ll be doing for the better part of today.
Happy Week!

I was there too. You’d think, having an extra adult around on the weekends, in my case, it shouldn’t be that bad!
It is amazing how these messes happen. I have a strict pick up the house before bed on Sunday night, so as to prevent a nervous breakdown when I wake up Monday morning.
Having 2 messy adults in this house doesn’t help matters! LOL!
Frankly I DON’T manage it very well. But I do have better days than others. Sometimes I even manage to have it tidy for more than 30 minutes.
Our house is the same, of course it is my husband who keeps the house nice and tidy during the week and me who prevents it from being clean come Monday morning.
I think it has something to do with the unspoken agreement that he should do no housework on the weekend, and I should do it instead. I am trying to cram my weekend with as much quality family time as I can,
so the house and my husband get the short end of the stick.
What’s a housewife/husband to do.
