Just when I thought it was safe to venture back into dreamworld, my dreams have begun getting weirder and weirder! Oh when will these pregnancy nightmares relent? ! Last Monday morning’s was a real winner.
Flashback to the seventh grade. Empty halls of the after-hours at my Catholic middle school. Lots of green-blue plaid skirts and baby blue round collar oxfords. Classroom doors all out of wack, yet Sister Mary R., my seventh-grade teacher sitting fiercely, as always, at her desk, peering over her bifocals, this time sporting a pack of cigarettes, one of which she lit up before the extra-curricular gathering. All of her imposing four foot stature (and three foot width) commanded every minute of the meeting which focused on something liturgical, like a special celebration that we middle-schoolers were expected to prepare. Hmmmm. For some reason I don’t remember having quite that much responsibility at that young an age!
In any case, at one point the lot fell to me and she handed me her beat-up dusty old Bible and insisted that I read from it even though I was fumbling to page through my own to find the biblical passage that I had been assigned: Matthew 10:16. I am embarrassed to say this, but I haven’t done bible study for more than a long, long time. So believe me, this passage was out of nowhere for me, purely product of the dreamworld. I went on to blabber some gibber-jabbering and to listen to my assignment. I assured my dear habit-garbed mentor that I would take care of it on my own, as I had plenty of bible study reference volumes to help me along. End of dream.
My first google search that morning went something like this:
Matthew 10:16!
To my surprise here’s the quote that awaited me:
“I am sending you out like sheep among wolves. Therefore be as shrewd as snakes and as innocent as doves.”
Hey, maybe Sister Mary R. liked me after all. And maybe, just maybe she was trying to communicate something to me from the “other side”. But if she was, why in the world was she smoking while she did and what exactly could she have been referring to?! Weird, I tell you. Just plain weird!

wooooooooo! *cue spooky music*
Ummmmm… maybe she means to keep your wits about ya.
I think you are already shrewd as snakes and innocent as doves.
I love meaningful dreams! If only one could figure out what they mean!
It must be something with the hormones or being a mother because I experience the same. When I was pregnant I had the weirdest dreams ever. However I have noticed that since becoming a mother my dreams have changed as well.
